ELMNT 360 EDUCATION PROGRAM

Study with our leading edge faculty and move through our 10 Module Program rooted in mindfulness and supported by science. All modules can be taken individually or in succession. You will explore various modalities and styles of movement while uncovering principles of physiology, anatomy and movement to enhance your ability to read bodies, and craft creative, inspiring classes.

 
 

Our Full 360 Program is comprised of 3 divisions: MOVE, RIDE and ALIGN and can be taken as a complete program (10 modules), by division, or as individual modules.

MOVE - Focus on exploring various modalities of dynamic training, understanding how these modalities affect the body, and to help you gain confidence learning how to intelligently build efficient and creative practices to take your teaching of any movement to the next level. Modules include (six): Fascia, Physiology and Alignment + The Science of breathing + Core Intelligence +Barre Necessities + Strength and Circuit + Mindful Strength.

RIDE - Next level indoor cycling and spin training that will cover bike safety + set up, biomechanics of indoor cycling, the science of the cardiovascular system, how to design various rides, use of music, lights, and performance coaching to become the best motivator you can be. Modules include (three): Fascia, Physiology and Alignment + Science of breathing + Spin Technique.

ALIGN -  Leading movement with mindfulness. Supported by the foundations of yoga and leading research in anatomy and physiology we will learn how to observe the body in both movement and stillness, examine the complexities of human form and the systems that support us through life. Decode posture, alignment and breath while learning how to adapt practices for any body through the use of props and their many applications for both dynamic and therapeutic styles of practice. Modules include (six): Fascia, Physiology and Alignment + The Science of breathing + Asana deconstructed + Core Intelligence + Yoga Wall fundamentals + Restorative.

Principles of Alignment, Tensegrity, Biomechanics / Decoding Posture - Taught by Carina Raisman

There is no average, norm or ideal when it comes to posture. Give yourself the opportunity to learn new concepts of alignment which establish an understanding of the principles of biomechanics and breath. Discover the difference between posture and alignment while attuning your lense to decode and detect habits and patterns deeply ingrained in the body.  Gain new teaching tools to organize the body through the understanding of tensegrity, biomechanics and breath techniques to improve your ability to teach posture to any body.

The Science of Breathing - Taught by Andrew Bathory / Natalie Kakon

We’ve all heard about the breath and how it is a powerful tool to integrate awareness into the body. In this module begin to understand why through deepening your understanding of the nervous system and uncovering the simple yet powerful tool of ‘the breath’. Learn the anatomy and physiology of breathing, gain access to uncovering unconscious breathing patterns and practice new techniques to access the deepest layers of the human body.

Asana Breakdown - Taught by Andrew Bathory / Natalie Kakon

Why do we practice the postures that we do? How can they be adapted to benefit everyone?  With the support of props, biomechanics and alignment we will breakdown classical yoga postures and find intelligent ways to approach the poses, including variations and adjustments. Dive deep into the foundations of classical asana and their application to contemporary bodies. Learn the anatomical nuts and bolts of key postures to be able to break down, build up and reintegrate yoga postures intelligently into any style of practice.

Core Intelligence - Taught by Lisa Messina

Access the power of your core, the seed of your essence. In this module dive deeply into the muscles of the core, understand how they move and how they help to create posture and healthy limbs. Discover through the use of innovative core techniques how to ignite stability and reduce pain and injury in your clients bodies. When we know our centre, we can move from a place of confidence and grounding. Breath, movement, stillness, everything starts from the core.

Mindful Strength -Taught by Kathryn Bruni Young

Empower your body through meaningful and educated movement. Learn the most effective way to use the knowledge that can take your physical practice to the next level. Learn how to adapt strengthening exercises to empower all body types, experience levels and needs. Discover how strength training may be applied to reduce injury, improve range of motion and decrease pain. Train your eyes to identify engagement patterns and/or blind spots and learn how to create an adaptable and holistic approach to strength training.

Yoga Wall fundamentals -Taught by Matt Phippen

The yoga wall system is a tool that enables bodies to access different dimensions of alignment and engagement in their practice. Discover both active and therapeutic techniques to support the various systems of the body. Explore new ranges of motion,  experiment with your relationship to gravity and understand the benefit of support in your practice.

JUNE 15-17TH 2018 - 18HR TRAINING

Barre Necessities - Taught by Katie Kepron

Simple yet powerful alignment principles to create tone and length throughout the whole body. Understand the anatomy of the hips, breakdown biomechanics and how to adapt barre exercises for non-dancers to safely turn on deep stabilizers, core stability and deliver powerful classes inspired by dance strength conditioning. Learn how to use the music to it’s fullest potential and learn how to apply detailed alignment cues in a quickly paced class to ignite a sense of support that will leave your clients feeling centred and more integrated in their bodies.

JULY 6-8TH 2018 - 18HR TRAINING

Strength and Circuit - Taught by Jill Payne

Unpack the tools necessary to build a holistic strength circuit. Gain the understanding of how best to target various muscle groups to empower your clients to reach their goals without the risk of injury. Leave with a feeling of confidence to coach one-on-one or to lead innovative and effective group classes.

SEPT 28 - 30TH - 18HR TRAINING

Spin Technique - Taught by Natalie Kakon / Andrew Bathory + Matt Aguba

Unleash the power of your unique voice and learn the technique behind the ride. In this module we will give you the tools necessary to craft memorable journeys for your riders, through the use of vocal techniques, performance coaching, and cycling technique to take your riders to the next level. Gain the skill set that will empower you to be the conduit of inspiration to uplift your community. We ride as a tribe:  please note that this training is 18hrs intensive weekend + 7 hours of Community Rides with one on one feedback sessions after your teaching.

Restorative - Taught by Andrew Bathory / Natalie Kakon

Learn techniques to support yourself and your clients in the art of relaxation. Through mindful breathing and supportive yoga postures access the outer and inner layers of your body. Gain new skills of holding a safe and supportive space for people to let go through the use of props, voice, sequencing and hands-on adjustments. Experience the healing power of down regulation, slowing things down and finding stillness.
